it s been a couple of weeks now that the turn signals will not come on at over 3k rpm but will work at iddling and low speed. the voltage is the same and I changed both front bulbs . the signal switch could be the guilty link but have not started to take it apart yet. Has anyone experienced this before?
thanks

I bet you haven't changed the blinker fluid lately.

It sounds like a vibration induced disconnection although wind getting inside somewhere could also explain the problem.

Cleaning and lubing the selector switch should be the first thing to do but I would also suggest checking the connections of the wires.

If you have done any modifications to the lighting system recently would suggest to look there too.

good advice Ricky-D .I sprayed some silicone fluid in the switch tonight before riding to meet some friends at first it didn t do anything but then it worked ok . coming back it did not work but noticed the front driving lights going off when pressing the turn signal in iether direction ,no flashing ,just off, then back on when puting switch back to no turn. so definite cleaning of the switchi s needed. I did wire auxilliary bullet lights  to the  stop light (thanks HayHauler cooldude) but the turn signal problem was pryor.  I ve noticed weird electrical hapennings lately as the head lights/ tach not coming on and the ignition switch being very hot .also the kuryakin volt meter not showing two green lights as it always had but only one and twice now going off by itself . my first thoughts were the alternator now more the batery and/or a short, or all of the above.just wondered if anyone else had similar problems, to find a short cut fix.
thanks

AN easy check/attempted fix for weird electrical gremlins is your ground connection at the battery. disconnect, clean, reconnect. Good Luck.  let us know what ya find... cooldude

YoungPup is on the right path, any time some lights dim or go out when turning something else on is sure sign of a faulty ground connection. It may not be at the battery. Need to check where it attaches to the frame and any other ground points for the lights.

Well it seems that the magic potion worked ,the spray in the switch once again did its wonders.
no problems today on the 100+ miles to the beach. actualy the turn signal switch felt like new, crisp and precise. cooldude
