An e-bay auction.  The title:  winf deflectors for a Honda Valkurie.  Starting bid .01 with $15 shipping.  Winning bid .01 with $15 shipping.  Actual item, a full set of Baker Air Wings (clear) in very good shape (no pits, cracks, rust, etc), snap caps even in good shape...they delivered today and I now have a spare set in case something happens to mine.

I feel bad for the seller  Sad, I'd be very upset to have that happen,  but I am very happy for myself  laugh   I honestly expected to get a story about how they were already sold or something.  A very honest seller.

That's a great catch, I have been looking for a set for my IS for a while now and of course the second I stop checking they come up.  Sucks to be me.

Great catch!  Definitely a case of misspelling and lack of proof reading causing the seller to pay a large penalty.

Seller had no starting bid. He was probably new to ebay.
I did the same thing with an antique belt buckle. Had to go out of pocket to sell it Embarrassed
Haven't done it since-lesson learned.
You're right, honest seller. It is great to see folks keep their word.

They are actually for a standard, he just has one of the L brackets upside down for some reason in that picture, but flipped around they match up with the set I already have on my standard.  I've had some very good luck with e-bay misspellings.

Unfortunately I can't re-e-bay all my spares because I can't take paypal or I'll be taxed on it (my business is one of those that hits the tax reporting limits for both paypal and my merchant accounts).  That is why I have been trying to sell some things locally in the classifieds (unsuccessfully, few valks in this area).  If I sold half my spare valk stuff, I could buy another bike with the proceeds.
