Today is 007 Day! Today is the birthday of Sean Connery, the best of all the actors in the James Bond movie series.
Connery was born on August 25,1930, in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Happy birthday, 007!

Lots of great movies made by Sean.

For me Sean Connery was the ONLY James Bond.

Goldfinger is amazing....one of my favorite movies.

I remember as a kid going to the '64-65 World's Fair in New York and seeing 007's iconic Aston Martin DB5.  They demonstrated all of the gadgets for the crowd....

Something I'll never forget.

Well Happy Birthday Sean.

He is a helofa actor.

But that is the same reason they call me 0014.

Because I am Twice as Good as 007.

Hey Oss!

I lived in Pleasantville at the time.  Chrysler had built a small fleet of turbine cars that were not only at the Fair but driving the countryside.  I remember seeing a couple of them....what a thrill in 1965.

About 9 years ago my wife and I went to our eye doctors for an appointment.  When I walked in I thought Sean Connery was sitting there.  I was thinking, what the hell is he doing here in Ottawa.  The guy saw my look and said something like 'I am not who you think I am'.  The guy even sounded like him, same accent.  He then told us that he was from the same town as Sean Connery but was not related and always got mistaken for him. No sh!t, I thought, you look and sound just like him.  I forget what the guy's name was but, all I could think of is that Sean Connery's father must have hopped the fence sometime or they were some how separated at birth.  Too many coincidences for these guys not to be related.  My eye doctor told me that he had been a patient of hers for sometime so, it definitely was not him but, he could be his double with no problems.

In that montage from the 64-65 World's Fair, is that the Carousel of Progress? Because that thing is at Disney in Orlando now. For some reason I really love that "ride" even though it's terribly dated.
