if you think thats easy you haven't been to many truck stops I bought a sasauge biscuit and a dew this morning I noticed a book under the counter 'all over the map again' I paid for my breakfast and moved aside to check it out and ended up buy it. is a small book highlighting the many unsual names we have given our towns. when the clerk saw it she started looking at it, she said 'thats kinda cool' I said being a driver I see lots of weird names for towns. she said 'like what?' I said 'like gay head NY or three way TN' that one got her she started turning red I said 'oh you liked that one huh' she was just blushing away, my work here is done! hey Mr Anvil? this book says there is a town north of you called pigwhacker, that would be the logical town for a valk rider

Here's a good listing of funny, or strange, names for towns. http://www.accuracyproject.org/towns.htmlThere are probably several that would embarrass your waitress if used in certain contexts.

In Western Tennessee right on the I-40 is Bucksnort. Theyres a little truck stop there and the bisquits and gravy are memorable. I got off the road in '89. Might be a different cook there now.

In central Texas, between College Station and Austin on Texas Highway 21, are the towns of Dime Box and Old Dime Box. They are roughly one mile apart. Also near College Station there is the community of North Zulch, Texas. It is not far from Snook, Texas. For some reason, there is no Zultch or South, East, or West Zulch. Don't know why.
We trudge on.

Blue Ball, PA is located just a little north of Intercourse, PA, in Lancaster County (home of the Amish ) I and my family went through Intercourse, PA this summer on vacation. I was going to buy my wife a t-shirt that read "I (heart) Intercourse"...but she told me if I did then the only time I would be seeing "intercourse" for awhile would be when I read it off the shirt...I didn't buy it. The Northwestern Mn towns if Climax and Fertile are about 32 miles apart. An unfortunate woman from from Fertile perished in an auto accident very near Climax. The headlines in a local paper read "Fertile Woman Dies in Climax"
