« on: August 29, 2011, 11:16:59 AM »

I have an '01 Interstate.  My girlfriend is 4'11" and her legs can not reach the Cobra Floorboards I have.  I have chrome saddlebag guards which she will sometimes put the heel of her boot to rest her legs, but that is going to cause scratches on the bags from her heel.

HELP!  Does anyone know someone who offers something to attach to either the guardrail frame or
a bracket to relocate the Cobra floorboards ??

Definitely go with the adjustable Rivcos, they look great and are incredibly adjustable. My wife is 5' and they work great for her.

Those Rivco's look gorgeous, but that's a lot of money. Doesn't Kuryakyn make an adjustable footpeg for closer to 150 bucks?

Go to the local Harley dealer and you will find all kind of the extensions and offsets that you can use for just that purpose.

They have a ton of that kind of chrome goodies.

Hi Kid!

I bought the rivco adjustable passenger boards.  I know the price is up there, but they are worth every penny, best thing is if you keep her she'll love for it and if you end up changing to a longer pair of legs they work too and she'll love ya!  2funny

You're set either way!

Dang, didn't know the Rivco's were available again.  cooldude

kid4evr,

I modified Kuryakyn boards to the Rivco mounts. ['bout 8 yrs ago] In doing so I lost the uppermost position as they then hit the saddlebag.
With the Rivco Centerstand the Kury boards are too big as the vid shows.

They're pricey, but a great setup if you stick with their proprietary boards for full clearance function.

I don't know who made them but my exhaust hangers have three holes in them to allow the height of the passenger pegs to be adjusted.

Big Bike Parts made a set of passenger boards that had different length legs that mount to anti-rotational peg locators.   You may find them on ebay from time to time.  Mine have a 6 inch leg that has my wife's ( Not GF there Farther) knees level with her hips so she's not sitting all splayed out trying to reach the boards.  The top of the board is about 8 inches higher than where the boards usually mount.  They are visible in this pic just forward of the bags

My wife has  the same problem too. I thought about zip tying a couple 2x4 blocks too, but it wouldn't match my chrome! 2funny With flip flops she can't reach them, but with boots no problem. She recently bought a pair of Sketcher's Shape-ups and claims they are the most comfortable shoes she's ever worn. She had bone spurs on both heals and no longer feels the pain. They also have real thick soles and higher heels than the other brands and has no problem with my Cobra boards now.  cooldude

The wife of a co-worker is native Japanese.  She is at least 5'11" in her bare feet and a ballet dancer/yoga instructor, another co-workers wife is Japanese too and is 5'8" and still another co-workers wife is Chinese and she is 5'6".  What Asian women are you referring to?  My wife is 1/2 Italian and 1/2 Romanian and is 4'11".  She is also a direct decendent of Vlad the Impaler, but that is a different story.

You guys need to lighten up. But the fact is that most Asians are less than tall. There's a reason why Home market Valkyries have reverse.

They're also terrible drivers.  Wink
