Sweet!!!!!  my deal is...... my standard tank is good for 150 miles before reserve....... if I'm drinking enough water to stay hydrated.... I HAVE A 120 MILE BLADDER..... short of that... I'm not drinking enough water.... coolsmiley

i tend to ride pretty hard so im out of gas at 100-110 miles. the extra fuel should put me in the 160-170 range.

Understand...... my 97 Valk would hit reserve at under 100 miles.... at 130 mile it was empty...... this 99 Valk seems ta sip the gas..... have hit as high as 170 miles befor going to reserve........but that hasn't changed the bladder capacity...LOL

Hey HG,

What your range on some of your "sippin' whiskey"? Don't imagine you'd drown that with Water would you? 2funny

(but then again, I don't imagine you drink much of that when ridin')

Tank.... I can think of times when the extra fuel would have been a bonus.....out west... long ways between stops..... and traveling across Ontario, Canada on the northern most paved road....up in the arctic watershed.....175 miles between gas stations....  the extra range would have been a plus.....  we made it......but did 50 mph most of the way!!!!!  Silver and Black...Hmmm that tank would fit my bike PERFECT!!!!!!! congrats!!!!!

SSSSSsssssssccccccccooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the three best "add-on's" I've put on the Valk!

How long have you been looking for one? I was pretty lucky - I was scammed on ebay, but GordonV took care of me, with one off his wrecked bike. Not sure what to do with the standard tank - any market at all for them? Or just keep it as a spare, in case I ever sell this bike, and need an IS tank? So many decisions...

So, Tank, are you going to pinstripe your bike, now?

Wow, talk about a "fresh canvas"!! I'd love to do a bike "all out", but I'm not an artist, by any means! I still haven't gotten my saddlebags painted, but fortunately, that's going to be more of a "technical" painting, than artistic. The guys who can make a bike sing, have all my respect!!

Installing an Interstate Tank was one of the best upgrades I did on my 97 standard trike! Not only for the extra fuel capacity, but now I also have a fuel gauge rather than watching my odometer to figure when I need to gas up.

Hey Walkuere

Not to highjack this thread, but I like the look of your bags the same theme as the gas tank, namely red as the prime color with black striping. cooldude

I LOVE the IS tank I put on my 97.  Put a Motosen fuel gauge on with it.  Great out here in the wilds of ND!

Yeah, that's how it's going to be - I just didn't have good picture of it that way, so used this one - it IS the right color for the I/S TANK, which keeps it apropos for the thread...   Grin

Haven't gotten my Motosen fuel gauge yet, because I think I'd like a trio of gauges, and can't decide which 3 to get!
