According to my local trike shop, MotorTrike is a $hitbox as is Lehman. He sells DFT and Champion. DFT is the best for rear suspension but fiberglass is horrible. Champion is a great IRS with flawless fiberglass. Be prepared to pay for fuel. Those 6 carbs drink lots when you put a load on them. My advise is to buy a used 1800 Wing trike. Better MPG's a better resale value.

Good friend of mine, who may chime in later hopefully, just got a Roadsmith. It looks incredible. His main selling point was that you didn't have to modify anything permanently with the Valk. No grinding or cutting anything at all. All wiring is plug and play. I think the hardest thing he had to do was swap out the rear master cylinder with the provided larger one to handle the two rear disk brakes. Didn't take him long at all to complete the conversion. I think it uses a ford mustang rear differential and volkswagen axles and hubs...

I have a 99 Interstate with the new Roadsmith kit from the Trike Shop. http://trikeshop.com/ Love it. If I keep her under 65mph, I get a little over 30mpg, over that it drops to about 27mpg. I get great compliments every everywhere I stop.

I have a Roadsmith kit on a Valkyrie Interstate and am considering converting my other Interstate also. One of the main reasons I prefer the Roadsmith kit is their customer service and the fact that all, or nearly all, of the moving parts in the kit are standard NAPA parts and they supply the part numbers with the kit. No waiting for special custom made parts if anything should ever fail. Their warranty is outstanding also. Larry

Is this a kit that you can install yourself? Approximately how much does a kit cost? Thanks!

Now that's pretty interesting fudgie, has some characteristics of the Spyder and that Dodge bike with the twin front wheels.

Yes but no. We talked with the guy at camp in Sturgis this year. Its a whole different mechanics and is very clean in person. He did a good job on it. They hydrolics are really cool. He is out trying to get it marketed by the big names there. He is working on getting it mounted to a wing next.

The link below is who makes that trike kit. I like the Cobra version myself....torn between it and the Roadsmith. You can get the Roadsmith for around $8k, even have some on Ebay. http://www.mysterydesigns.com/
