I looked back in the archives and found the person who made a reasonably priced socket for the steering stem nut.  I emailed him at the address in the archives.  Unfortunately, I haven't heard back from him (I used ehcycledude@yahoo.com email address).  Has the address changed, or has he stopped making the socket?  I liked what I saw and the price was right.  If anyone knows him, let him know I'm interested in the socket.
