Had a HydroEdge on my '99 for a while & I had to take it down to 28psi to get acceptable handling too. Seems to me the HydroEdge is a really squared off compared to some other car tires that others have. Got a nail in it so I changed it to an Avon a month or two ago, probably would still have it on but for the nail.  Grin
Still have the tire, I had a patch put on it by a tire shop after I took it off. Any Valkers who might want it, ride on over & you can have it, I aint gonna ship it! Only about 5-6K miles. Otherwise it's yard sale material this fall!  Grin

Some people lube their splines even if they don't get a new tire.
Mine get done every 8-10,000 miles. YMMV
