So sad.
As a Buc fan since day one this hurts. I remember slapping palms with Lee Roy & other Bucs when we met them in Tampa coming home from New Orleans after the Bucs first ever win in 1977. I was in the stands when the Bucs smacked down the Eagles for their first playoff victory in 1979.
Lee Roy was also instrumental in getting the University of South Florida football program off the ground in the late '90s. USF is where I attended back in the day. Also met him at bank functions when Lee Roy worked for the same bank as my first wife after his retirement from football.
First Buc in the Hall of Fame. Pillar of the Tampa Bay area community.
He will be missed!  Cry
