My lady and I took a run on the Valk from Scottsdale up to Sedona today.  BIG mistake.  Temp at 7:15 a.m. was 91 as I went past Deer Valley and 95 at 9:00a.m. in Sedona.  Left Sedona at 1:00 and the temps were 105-110 all the way back to the valley.  Lot of road gators on the blacktop all the way.   People still running those big SUV’s at 80-90mph even in the heat.  Then they wonder why the tires pop.

Bad news was the new restaurant up at the Sedona airport was not yet open.  I don’t know why they tore the old one down.  It had great food and reasonable prices.  The new one looks smaller but more expensive.  They’ll probably have to jack the prices up to pay for all that stainless everything.  Also found that the Orchard restaurant in downtown Sedona is no more.  The good eat places in Sedona are all going yuppie with prices to match.

Good news, I did not have to use any of the hot water when I took my cool down shower after the ride.  I guess summer is finally here as the cold water is no longer cold.

The trip is short,
enjoy the ride
