I need to change my tire valve on my rear tire on my 98 Valk. I don't want to remove the tire if possible.  Has anyone replaced a tire valve without removing the tire? Easy? Pain in the butt?  Seems like a couple of C clamps would do the trick. But this is just my theory wheras reality would prove it more difficult than that.
Thanks in advance

Many have done that exact change out.

Doing it on the side stand is fraught with peril.

Have a friend to help you and steady the bike.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I just did this on both tires a couple week ago, You'll need 2- 8 inch c-clamps and 2 blocks of 3/4 inch plywood. Tighten the clamps little by little and you'll be surprised how easy it is to do. The key is having clamps big enough. Good luck and take your time.

Kool, thanks for the input guys. Gonna get me them thar valves and as soon as my friggin upper back permits me, to install.  I got those big C clamps in my cellar just awaiting.

RJ-Still have my BH, but nowdays my Valk is what I prefer as it is a better all round bike fer moi. Still got that stash of geritol? hahahaha. I think I need it these days to keep up with my young babe who is still with me after all these years. Go figure eh.  Nowdays I prefer to ride alone and I stay away from group rides.  Was a blast though way back when.

Fugie-no more stories hahahaha.  I have sorta settled down with a special someone who has been with me quite a long time.  Looking back, it was sorta like them thar daily soap operas. hahahah

How time flies-older, wiser (maybe?), more decrepit (?) na!, retired (yeh!)  and still the Mad Serb!
