Thanks all.  I was aware of tank's miles on another site and attempted a search and advance search on this site without a hit.  Sorry about the repost, I don't get here often anymore. #55.

Interesting question, the sans overhaul part.
I've never heard of anyone on the board for all the time I've been here talk or ask about overhauling a Valkyrie engine.
Soooo.... has anybody ever had to do it? If so what was the reason?  Cool

Our own Deluge Debbi had an engine kerfuffle back a ways.

Mike, all she experienced was the hydrolock at well over 100k. It was going to cost her a few hundred dollars to get that engine repaired, she and Fred found a complete engine with a fraction of the miles for less money than the repair. TJ did the work and some other stuff while he had it. The engine itself didn't crap out, just the usual starter stuff from the hydrolock.

A few years back, there was a handyman type in New England that used his 1500 Wing to pull his trailer when weather permitted. He had all his tools in the trailer, including compressor and other large stuff. Last I heard he had over 600k on his Wing, original engine, never torn down...just the normal maintenance.

I think they're asking about the bike rather than the rider.  Roll Eyes  The rider is way overdue for a complete overhaul.
