This pic was taken west of downtown Austin looking east towards Bastrop...

This is from Hwy 71 traveling east into Bastrop.  Not too far from Greg's - Bullgoose's - place...

Bastrop State Park...

Scary video showing how fast this wildfire has been moving...

Scary stuff indeed!  Bastrop and Buscher (sp?) are very cool State Parks.  Hope they aren't too  badly damaged..

Prayers for all affected.

My son is fireman from Hurst, is down there helping fight the fires.  Prayers to keep them all safe.

This is a terrible drought, my wife and I were traveling from Lockart thru Bastrop Saturday. We traveled FM20 to Hwy 21 to Paige, really beautiful area, only to read about it being afire on Monday. Prayers for those who lost in the 500+ homes in the area.

Great/horrible pics Charlie. That's what I ran into on my way from Hotlglue's BBQ. A very long detour finally got me home. Smoke & helicopters, but, thankfully, I still have a place to live.
Had a Dr.'s appt in LaGrange today but had to postpone cuz hwy71 is still closed. Lots of anxiety around here lately.
