Some things have changed due to the fires all around the area.  There won't be an escorted ride due to the escorts being needed elsewhere and Cindy's will not be open.  Also, the event location will be a drop off point for fire victim donations.  Top of the list is bottled water.

Because of the wildfire situation, I think this event's schedule is somewhat fluid.  Nevertheless, I still plan to attend.

Looks like The Geez and Mrs. Geezer are now going to make the event.  Right now we have 5 Valkyries confirmed! cooldude

So, if you are on the fence about coming, you can jump off and be in the company of other CenTex VRCC-ers. Wink

If we come up with a meeting point outside the event I'll post it.  Otherwise, we'll just meet there.

Good day with some sobering moments and some good times.

Showed up just a bit early...

But soon some more of these "rice burners" with "car engines" showed up....

L-R: My Hildr, Curtis' Yellow and Cream, Damien's Red and Black and Old & Mrs Geezer's Blue and Cream  (not shown  - Eddie Barfield's Bumble Bee)

We had a true color guard for the flag ceremony...

The flag went up...

The color guard performed a gun salute...

Old Glory flew at half-mast as we sang the National Anthem...

And then we had a moment to remember...
