My bike only has 42K miles on it. When my mechanic pulled the shock to grease the drive shaft, the shock bolt bushings were paper thin and one was actually split. He said it was common!  Is this true? Will I need to change this bushing as often as I grease the spline?  Can't remember this being mentioned in any of the mechanical threads.  Any thing else I should know?  97 Valk

The factory bushings wear out every 10-15K miles. Gary Ackerman makes replacements that are poly razmataz or some such thing. Much stronger and last longer. About $30 for 4 if I recall. Honda's are $3 each or $12 per set. Gary's also firms up the handling. He goes by pruor as a handle on here. Go to Rattlebars website and you'll find them there.

I gave up my hard to spell or remember handle when we got the new board.
Sales of shock bushings have been so brisk, I am out of stock, but will have more by next week.
You can follow the link to buy. I will ship all B/Os as soon as my shipment comes in.
