If I remember , the plugs are in the rear. I would lift the front with the bucket to drain them. Do not be in a hurry, let them drain. I also think they used 15W40 motor oil as a lube. The gaskets you speak of are about a 1/4 inch thick. When ready, sit the machine level to refill. I do not remember the ammount of oil to use. Before use , check the chain tension . Follow the manual. these are very good machines.

Thank you thank you thank you
Didn't want to pull a plug and lose 2 gal of hyd flluid or gas. Out she comes in the AM.
I have been away from these for 20 years except 3-4 times to do some work around his place a year, brought this one up when my father moved. I have been on one on and off since I was 8. It is like a extension of me when I get going. This one has had a hard life for its first 10 or so years, then it wasnt used much for 20, but it was used and kept under cover. I think the gasket was not square for a long time, it will be soon. I don't use it for a living but I refuse to abuse it. It needs some TLC, like valve cover gasket and plug wires, but she still likes to get dirty.
5qt oil, 10/30 with Case additive. I found that on the interwebs but danged if I could come up with the drain plug. I think it is the front plug for front tank.
The manual is at my fathers new house, somewhere in his new house, and he is away for the weekend. I can get it drained and new oil and the gasket seated, then find a Case dealer near here for additive.

1845, no B or C. It is a bit before the quick attach anything. We did have a scarfire hookup that went with the business. The secondary hyd. connections are there. On the one before this one, we had hook ups for a hydraulic jack hammer. Ya wanna talk about turning men into mice. Big hammer, full of fluid, input and return lines, full of fluid, BTW hyd fluid gets hot as a bonus to the added weight. I cheered the day we got a IR air compressor.
