Correct me here if I'm wrong Gear Jammer, but doesn't the hidden receiver still have all the bright parts on the outside of the fender, and just the receiver hidden? To the original poster: Why do you want to hide that great big nice chunk of CHROME? It isn't really that noticeable unless you are looking at the back and a tad off to the right for your view. On MGM, my flag hides it somewhat. I and my son and wife put the hitch on one Christmas a long time back and has never been off since then. Have found no need to remove it to do any maintenance, so it just hangs there bothering no one. I know, that is JMHO, for whatever it is worth. Right now that is NOT much.

Correct RJ, the sides of the hitch are on the outside of fender, and the bottom crossbar with receiver slot is forward of the back of the fender, right at the same level.

Sorry, I misunerstood what you were wanting. I thought you were looking for a "hidden receiver" hitch. I don't know if I've ever seen a hitch which is completely inside the fender. That sure would make for close tolerance with the tire. Good luck in your quest.

There is one or two hitches, not known if still in production, that attached where the saddlebags lower mounts were. Not as strong looking, because they did not attach directly to the bike. I have seen a few of them. Looked weak to me. MP

If I would have stayed with a MT I could have built my hitch to stay inside. I fought it for a couple days before figuring out it was too tight with CT(and always 2 up).

Took a while to find it, but there's a manufacturer in Australia, Classic Industries, that make a hitch that I THINK is low and below the rear fender. Hard to tell, but might be what you are looking for: Salty, if I remember, but here's a link to the site - you need to drill down in 'hitches' to the Valkyrie. http://www.classicind.com.au/R
