The source of those vibrations I've been feeling have been identified.  52,000 miles on the clock.

No grease on the output shaft coming out of the motor/trans, no grease on the drive shaft and very little grease on the splines mating with the rear wheel and that tire has only been on for about 1,000 miles.  Must have been a shortage of grease at the dealership.

well, look on the bright side, they're making uni-joints again!!  but you'll have to wait a few months!!  i just placed an order for another new one, i've got a brand new one in my garage right now but that belongs to MP, if you get ahold of him, and ask real nicely, maybe he'll sell it to you.

I can see where that would cause a slight vibration.....

Thanks to those who volunteered universals here on the board and by email.  I got a new one from a local dealer this morning, got it in and have the bike all back together with everything lubed just as it should be.   Smiley

I just got back from a brief test ride and no vibrations all the way up to 95mph.   Evil

Special thanks to Sandy for his technical assistance and volunteering to be my backup in case I ran into trouble.

Now on to the next project.

Opps!! I forgot to clean up all the tools laying on the floor…..
