So I won a Natal Leather vest from my local Eagles. I assumed when I bought the raffel ticket that it was a new vest, well you know what thay say about that. The vest has Harley patches on the back and pins all over the front. Some of the pins are from 89 and most are rally pins.
The vest is in good shape and is kinda cool but not what I would wear.
Would I be messing up by taking this stuff off and making it my vest or is it of more value selling it as it is. The guys at the Eagles where very excited about it and acted like it was a real value to win.
I will try to post a picture when I get home.

whats a used vest worth? $20-25 ? its a heavy one from the looks. you arent going to get more than that for it. i'll run over to biker inc. and pick one up your size and trade you. for some reason i collect old vests

Looks like nice leather.

Pull everything off it, clean it up with saddle soap, and rub in very thin mink oil with fingertips (to close or cover pin holes).  Dry for a couple days, and wear it with a long sleeve T on cool days.

Donate all the Hog pins/patches to charity.

I cleaned out enough of my farm toys and garage "hoarding" and let Ebay pay for my Valkyrie. You may be surprised, you know how those guys spend it.

I'd have an auction for it at a local HOG event, then donate the proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project and claim the tax deduction. Win/Win for everyone.  cooldude

I won a raffle for a weekend at a local fancy hotel/conference joint at the local VFW. I bought the tickets because of the cause and I just dont win that sorta thing.      Till then.
I said we should auction them off right now, and put that money back to the cause. The package went for a few dollars short of what the weekend would have cost and everyone truly was a winner.
