Anyone who knows Gordon (Lucky 13) knows he is the roadside McGuyver.  I've seen him put crashed bikes back together and all types of repairs to keep their riders riding.  It's really amazing to watch....

Well yesterday I picked up a nail in my near new rear tire 130 miles from home.  I carry some basic repair items including plugs and tools.  I was so proud that I got the bike to a gas station with air and plugged my first tire.

I asked the ride leader to pull into a station with air in about 30 miles down the road so I could check air pressure and the plug.  Everything was great.  However, the same guy that noticed the nail in my tire said "you've got some bolts missing over here".  Sure enough the main support for the left side exhaust was floating because all of the bolts were missing......made me wonder if the guy who did my tire took them out and never put them back in.

Anyway, I got out my trusty twist ties and fixed the exhaust.  Couldn't help but think that I was paying tribute to Gordon the whole time.

I have to agree. On any of the group rides I been on he was always the first one to help a stranded rider. I also know first hand he will even help a dude on a "Harley"  2funny
I always enjoy sharing the road with Gorden....and did I mention "He can ride"

Ditto.... When I could take my eyes off the curve ahead, Joe n Gordon (<---on the right, next to the edge) were taken the curves in formation like they were on parade, Almost side by side...... I needed a bit more of the road..... Wink

Of course they also tried to have a conversation on the Interstate- talking highway 40,not bike....... Cheesy
