If you want to make your own socket to adjust/remove your neck bearings: harbor freight is having a super sale right now. i picked up the required 32mm deep impact socket for $1.49 !! heavy duty pittsburgh pro phosphate 1/2 drive.
Now i need to dig out my grinder.

Yup, Tank, that's what I did a few years back. I tried a hacksaw first, what a joke, didn't even scratch it. Had to crank up my compressor and get out the die grinder like you said. Works great, and cheaper than buying one from Honda.

Cool thanks, I need to make myself a new one.

The first one I made is a bit sloppy and is less than perfect so for a buck-n-half I can spring for a new one. I think teh wife will be ok with it?

What is the size needed for the swing arm?

Tank - does it have to be the deep? I checked HF on line, and they are only in-store, and both the deep and standard are $1.49. The nearest HF is an hour away, so a bit far JUST for the socket, but if the deep and standard will work, and they had 10 of them or so, it would be worth the trip, and I'd jig up the grinder on the lathe, and make a bunch, to hand out as needed. Pretty inexpensive "christmas gift" to my Valk buddies... Grin

If the standard will work, that doubles my chances of them having a bunch. I can also try Indy, which is about the same distance, but south. Anything for a ride!

Waiting to hear - I'll give them a call afterwards.
