....and we had 102 again yesterday.

Send a cold front down south for us.  Maybe a little rain along with it?

Not a good sign for notherners.

On Saturday I saw my first V of sand hill cranes flying south. Seemed early this year. Does this portend a harsh winter?

"Freeze Warnings"

That's amazing!

I'm about 100 miles from Early Bird and yesterday we too had over 100 degrees (some reports were 105) and looks like it will be this way at least for the rest of the week!

Were in the 90's now and I already miss the 100's.
I'll trade the 100's for the rain we've been getting. I dont ride locally in the rain if I can avoid it.
But I'm all over the 100's.

Hopefully the Freeze will help kill that fire at the Boundry Waters that is pumping all the smoke in the Chicago area.

We don't have the 100 degree Texas weather and we don't have freeze warnings. We are nicely in the middle. The ride home has been comfy. A few riders are wearing jackets in the dark but they are completely optional. The bed spread is back so cooler weather is creeping in. The windows are still open and we're still enjoying the sounds as we sleep.

The problem is that you have frost on the roads in the shadows till late mornings. hard to spot sometimes and sometimes it could be to late.

HEY OSS !!    I hope your not going to ride your Interstate down the rail road tracks.  coolsmiley

At least it'll kill most of the bugs, won't have to cleanem off the windshield so often. Also Makes it easier to sit in the tree strand when you don't have to battle mosquitos.

Got down to 31* in my neck of the woods last night...  Frost on everything!

It's a good thing, as my Black Lab 'Bruno' has had allergies (scratching all the time) real bad the past few weeks, and a frost usually is what it takes to give him some relief!
