   I did just notice while riding single I get a little sway/wobble in a curve, 60mph or over. I assume it has to be tire pressure(CT) or shock setting because I am 180 #'s light ? I feel perfect when 2 up.

any ideas?   thanks

Check your upper shock bushings...  Bolt should be 'dead center' in the upper shock eye.  If not, they are worn, and should be replaced.

There are a couple of VRCC members that offer replacement 'lifetime' bushings.

Gary, through Chet's Rattlebars store, but looks like he has retired;

Or Daryl, at Xf6 Customs;

Both great guys!

but the bushings would work fine with 2 people riding?

are shock bushings wore out even when they are hard to take on and off?, I've had shocks off many times, building trailer hitch hitch and solving rubbing.

  I can make bushings, the shocks are the short list of upgrades

thanks

weight directly over the shock will keep them from moving around on the stud as much.

Check to see if the rubber bushings look oblong around the bolt.

I don't understand every response "going off" about the rear shock bushing but I think you are correct about it being possibly connected to air pressure in the rear tire, also I would say tire pressure in the front tire is even more of an influence.

A lot of that (sway/wobble) can also be rider induced due to road condition and "the rut" which is ever present on the road.

You have to keep in mind that a bump on a road curve will cause the bike to feel like it's wobbling/swaying and this is only due to the fact that the bike is leaning over and the forces from the road are vertical while the bike is not!

My CT did this 2 up in curves, esp on bridges. It would 'bounce/ twist. Would not do it 1 up. I up the PSI and its perfect.

If I recall, you are running a CT, correct? I'm running the General Tire Altimax, at between 38 and 44 psi - still playing with it a bit. I have one pretty nice sweeper, that I go on about twice a week, and notice that I feel a similar "sway/wobble". I have new shock bushing, the harder ones here on the forums (Gary comes to mind). Still have that feeling, though. I have decided that it has more to do with the fact that I have to actually hold the tire in the turn, so I feel it more in the handlebars, than a MT. Don't know how yours feels, mine is very slight, just enough so I know it's there. I do know that I have to have a heavier hand, with the CT, and I think the same amount of wobble, wouldn't be noticeable, or AS noticeable with a MT.

I could be wrong, but it's not enough to sway (pun intended) me to go back to a MT, to find out.

BTW, you mentioned in a thread that you made your own trailer hitch - do you have pictures posted anywhere?
