Well, guess the bad news is I did have a stroke, thank god I don't believe any permanent damage. But back for more testing, Monday getting a MRI of my skull to see if there is any brain damage, also a scan and check of my heart to see if it originated there.
Spending all my time at doctors, 4 more doctor appointments next week. Doc still says no driving or riding, that sucks. looks like a 85% no surgery needed, have to lose about 50 lbs, I quit smoking, need to get back on track before it is too late. My vision is slowly getting back to normal. My wife said I was always brain damaged, must have been right.  Really sucks not riding the Valkyrie, possibly in another week. ( there it is Valk related)

Bill, Hoping that all works out good for you and you get back on the bike soon. Glad that nothing happened while you were riding.
I was pleased to meet you at Inzane this year.

Have them check for a Peyton Framin Ovale, or hole in the heart.

Those nasty clots can slip through more easily if you are diagnosed with a atrium septal defect.

If not, as you said regular excercise, about 20 minues a day will make you almost impervious to further clot movement.

At least not to your brain anyway.

Blood thinners may be considered.

There is a new one out now that requires no regular testing to maintain the appropriate levels.

Glad you are still moving and I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Al

Oh yeah and no charge.

ya quit smoking - that's number one, on your recovery!!  cooldude

I had MY wake up call, 4 years ago or so. You may not feel a LOT better, quitting smoking, but you'll find you won't feel worse!

Hang in there. It's amazing how far they've come. I'm still working on losing the 50 pounds!

Grumpy et all..

Become addicted to room temperature plain water. It will improve your body's overall ability to function at its best. Wink
Soda, Coffee and beer, for example, are NOT a substitute for Water. Beer and Caffeine dehydrate the body.
So, think of drinking water as desmoging your Valk! Lips Sealed

I smoked Cigarettes for 30 years and tried quitting several times. Finally, on doctor's advice I started drinking lots of water throughout the day.

I quit smoking 9 years ago and still get the urge to smoke. When I do, I drink 6 oz of tab water and take a short walk around the building.
The trick is to break your ritual. For example,  every time immediately after eating lunch, dinner, etc. I'd seat in my comfortable chair to "relax" and smoke.
Naturally, it became second-nature. So, I tracked the timing and conditions causing the urges to smoke. I now actively avoid environmental conditions
conducive to smoking.., like having a cigarette after sex, instead of going to sleep... err... right away!  2funny crazy2

I drink close to 1 gallon of  ROOM-TEMPERATURE water per day. I now crave water more than anything else... even when I am not thirsty.  ???

Even if you keep-on smoking, drinking lots of water would do wonders for your bodily functions. Roll Eyes

Grumpy, we wish you a fast recovery. cooldude

Thanks for the advice, I am getting on the water kick also. I have smoked for over 50 years, rough giving them up, but I think staying above ground a little longer is worth it. Besides, all the money I save can buy more chrome  uglystupid2.  Thanks a bunch for all the good words, Things are slowly being eliminated, looks like the arteries in my neck are ok, so one more step, Monday MRI of my brain and imaging of my heart .
