Broke the pull throttle cable just outside Robbinsville, NC. Can't imagine how, but can a cable be temporarily fixed?  Am I in Robbinsville till I can get one shipped here?  Thoughts?  Advice?  I turned the idle up to 3k and limped to mcdonalds to use their Internet. My cell is 479 5310291. I'll watch for replies. My AT&T coverage is very poor here.   Thanks.  Al

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

is it the return or throttle down one? Broke at the engine or grip? Could possably switch the 2 to get it working.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, i just looked through the service manual and I think it might be possible to switch cables. I'm not possitive but it might work. Good luck

I'll try switching them. It's broken at the handlebar end. Al

I would think any bike shop could make a new cable if you take in the cable sleeve and
old cable & cable ends.

Well, it turns out they're different sizes where they attach at the handlebar. Won't screw in. I'll see if it will work without screwing in, but doubt it...  Al
