Has anyone seen one on the road yet?
Would you buy one if it were cheap or would you feel it to be an afront to your manhood?

Saw one at a dealer, never on the road... Too expensive for what it is, and (I know, I know, I sound like a broken record) if I wanted to buy a scooter (Automatic transmission) I'd buy a scooter... HATE automatic transmissions...

I was watching a documentary that discusses using the 1978 Honda-matic as the base for a wheel chair accessible trike. The DN01 would also be good for that.

I've seen them at a dearlership but never on the road.

I want to take it for a test drive.

Just like a lot of Hondas ideas.

Nothing.

Not a darn thing.

Small motor and it don't look like a Harley.

Took one out a few years ago. Too expensive for what it is and little power.  Looks like a bike... Rides like a low power scooter....

I got to test ride one shortly after they came out.  It was OK but my mind was a bit confused.  I had to duck my head to look under the windshield at the speedo and I am only 5’-10”.  My left hand kept twitching for the clutch especially when I was slowing down and the floor boards just did not seem right for that sort of bike.  It seems like the bike is not sure if it’s a cruiser or a sport bike.  It did ride nice though I only had it on local streets.

OH!! The dealer and I both agreed that it was way over priced when compared to the VTX 1300 or VTX 1800 but several weeks later when I checked back, he had actually sold one and he was surprised.

Last year when my lady and I were on our way to Durango Colorado we passed one on the road.  It was just purring along with other riders doing about 75MPH and the rider looked rather content.

I showed one to my wife at a Cycle World International Motorcycle Show. She looked at it and asked the Honda Rep about it. He told her all about it; she looked at him and asked "do you think anybody really wants one?". The Honda Rep stood there with an embarassed look on his face.

My wife was still a newbie back then.

my bro-in-law(former valk owner) rides one down here. corbin seat, additional windshield, rear backrest. i've put 200 or so miles on it. impression is: underpowered, poor handling due to the bars being WAY too far forward for the seating position and the lack of a clutch constantly had me grabbing air. you can over ride the puter and manually pick you shift points. weird at pull away as you have to give it extra rpms to engage the trans. built for someone 5' 9" tall but with arms near 4' long!

I personaly don't have any prejudices against automatic transmissions on bikes: Moto Guzzi, Aprillia, and others including Honda.

I once bought a mid-seventies Honda 750 Auto at the end of a swap meet for $20.00. I repaired it for less than $80.00 including the cost of the bike. It wasn't as fast as the other 750s but it was not too bad.

I rode it for several weeks and then I guy made me an offer because his wife wanted to ride and he thought it was perfect for her. I danced all the way to the bank, as I sold it for $1450.00 in cash.

But the DN01 is nowhere near the type of bike the 750 Auto was. JMHO
