So Cal

« on: September 22, 2011, 01:57:55 AM »

BACKGROUND:

I purchased Dragonfly back in March 2011. The first thing I did was to remove the OEM seats. I retrofitted a beautiful studded Solo Seat.
An aftermarket Mustang. The real thing. ???

As it turned out, the aftermarket seat is 1" taller than stock and I am a short-fat guy (5'6").  Angry
Notwithstanding, I still use the Mustang seat because it is decisively beautiful and does a lot for Dragonfly's presence; I think. coolsmiley
Besides, these days I ride one-up and very little at that. So, the Mustang-seat does the job... Sad

RECENTLY:
Last month I saw seat covers made by Mustang specific to the Valkyrie OEM seats. I purchased a set on a whim (WTF!) and dressed up the original seats. Smiley

RESULTS / PHOTOS:
What you'd see is a set of 2000 Valk-Standard factory seats; retrofitted with Gel Pads, then covered with the aforementioned Mustang Seat-skins. Lips Sealed

I like what I see enough to try it for a few days. Here are some photos.

Today, I installed the pictured OEM rider's seat and went for a one-hour ride.
WOW! The feel, the comfort, the fit and quality is worth the investment...Can't beat it for under $100 @ Cruiser Customizing. Wink
So far, I am inclined to sell the Mustang seat... just dreamin.' Comments are encouraged. Undecided
