Last June there were some postings regarding non Hondaline Saddle Bag Rails that some of you bought from an ebay vendor (re1368). He is still selling these on ebay and also on a web site www.usa-biker.com
I'm interested, but the description he has on ebay " Honda Valkyrie Chrome Saddle Bag Rail Guards" led me to ask him the question will they fit on a 2001 Interstate?

His reply was "I think they will fit on your bike" which raised some doubt if he's not sure.
I thought I would ask the question for those of you who bought rails from this ebay vendor (re1368).
Has any one installed them on an Interstate and were there any problems with the installation or the quality of rails?

Thanks

Yes , they will fit.  I installed a set on a friend's interstate a month ago.  They must have been improved over the reviews I read a year ago.  The chrome looked good, but they didn't put the clear sealer over the welds like Honda does.  I would suggest doing that - clear nail polish. The fit was good, and there was no difference in clearance between the left and right saddlebags, as previously reported.  They didn't provide the proper bolt, nut and spacer for the bottom saddlebag bolts that need to be replaced, but no big deal.

On the bike, they looked perfect, and OEM.  Makes me kinda' wonder why I'm saving a couple of OEM sets in the attic..........

Hey thanks Kingbee! Appreciate your comments and the tip on sealing the welds too.
