Hello All - This year we were looking to either go North to Baton Rouge or South to New Orleans. Just so happens that Baton Rouge is having the Redstick Rally the weekend we traditionally have the Romp in the Swamp. So we have decided to combine the Romp with the Rally this year. We will be cooking up a gumbo with all the fixings along with music and some tire kicking! Also we will do a ride on Friday for any of those interested and I will have additional (less expensive) hotel arrangements. This should be known as " The Romp In The Swamp 4" We have been to the first 3 and will sure try to be at this one. by doing some calendar figgering, Strider should be back for this one. T.P.

I am sorry to report that the day I set-up the block of rooms, I ended up in the hospital. If anyone is still interested in a less expensive room rate $71 for single or $77 for a double please email me. However I am going to have to cancel the festivities at our home since I am undergoing medical treatment until the end of the year. I am so sorry for the short notice & hope many of you will still attend the Red Stick Rally.

I believe it's been cancelled due to Jackie's health right now. I don't know of anyone from our area that's still planning on going to the rally there.

I was wondering about the Romp as I hadn't seen much posted about it. We can't attend anyway at this time. Maybe it'll be rescheduled at a time when we can go.

I go most every Friday to "Live at 5" at the corner of Spanish Town and 3rd. It's a free concert near the State Capital featuring local bands. As far as the "Red Stick Rally," I doubt I attend the whole thing. I'm open for suggestions as when to meet others there. |
