Did not ride with the Wild Bunch today. All of them had chores to do.

One was standing fast because his mother in law was sick and not expected to live much longer, 93 and lived a full happy life.

She is still hanging in there, Smooth Rider is the one I am speaking of.

Gordon and Mad Dog and Wimp were cutting firewood at Wimp's house, trees down, from springs heavy storms this year and they are biguns.

Joe is heading out to Byrdstown where they are striniging Power lines to keep the lights on.

I rode the Dragon today.

157 miles and used 4.3 gallons, ran the speed limit sort of but raced an Electraglide on Hwy 162 part of the local Interstate System.

I am not sure if he was trying real hard, but I hit 115 and he gave it up.

THis area is known as Pellisippi Raceway by nick name, not many cops out there and the Highway was pretty well empty.

The figure above is good for 36.51 avg. mpg.

Not bad at all.

For a Flat six geared to the moon. for speed and quickness.

By the way the is just a pic of someone's bike not mine, mine ain't that rusty.

Before anyone else says it, I got 44 mpg and ran 140 two up on an Interstate.
I also grew all the hair back I lost from the top of my head.

about 5 7 or 8 yrs ago on a trip I got on a long stretch in NM and cruised close to 90 for a long ways.    mileage dropped to 26 mpg, I knew it would drop some but was shocked it dropped that much.  normally get around 32-33 mpg

Wow Al, times have changed: "This area is known as Pellisippi Raceway by nick name, not many cops out there and the Highway was pretty well empty." I used to have property in Kingston and when going to Knoxville thru Oak Ridge we were always told to be careful on the PP. Used to see so many cops and it was always hard to do the speed limit.

FWIW, I just filled up the Valk and got 38.5 mpg.  Rode 136 miles of which 3/4s of the miles were two-up riding 50 to 65 mph.  Have gotten up to 40 mpg on this Valk.  My '98 Valk (sold to a fine Master Sargent in the AF a couple of weeks ago) had Cobras and never bested 30 mpg at this altitude.
