Funny thing just happened, sitting on the couch watching animal planet, the show, I shouldn't be alive.
About a guy trapped under an atv in the north. Our little female Chihuahua was sitting next to me. Some coyotes on the show were stalking the trapped guy, and howling as they do, when chi-chi our little dog, reared up and started howling with them, could not believe the sound she was making, normally a quiet dog, rarely barks. Dogs never cease to amaze me.

My guy, Bruno, is a quiet one too...  Only barks when someone comes in the driveway, or when the door bell rings...

In our small village, we have one of those emergency sirens that are used for bad weather.  Once in a while, at noon, they will run a test of the siren...  Bruno will be lying on the deck, or out in the yard, and when the siren starts, he gets this strange look on his mug and starts howling...  Almost like he can't understand why he is doing it  Undecided

This is Tigger. He only barks when somebody rings a doorbell on TV. If your standing at our front door ringing the bell your outa luck

Cracks us up when a doorbell rings on a show. He will come out of a sound sleep and run to the back door and wait for someone to come in.

Hay...  That's one of the toughest things ya ever have to do  Cry  Bruno was 'rescued' about a month after we had to put 'Brutis' down (7 1/2 years ago)...  Thought that getting another dog would be too much work, but in hind sight, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.  Both were rescue dogs, and I believe they know...  They both had it rough before they were part of our family, and both are/were about as perfect as you could want.

Yep, I get it!

Xena was an SPCA puppy that someone turned in the whole litter.  She was the only "rotten-lab" that didn't have the traditional Rottie markings.  She will be missed.

CHI-CHI was a replacement for a male we had for 18 years, sadly had to have him put down. A friend had CHI-CHI, she was 9 months old. She was going off to college and could not take her, so we adopted her. Sweetest Chihuahua  we have had to date, she loves every one she meets, does not bark at strangers, just bounces around them trying to be friends. That is why her howling at the tv surprised me. She usually is very quiet.

I've said it before and I'll always hold to it. Dogs are better than the majority of people! I love my two more than I can describe!  Smiley
