Scavenger Hunt and Rockin the Ranch Bike Show is in Bedford on this Sunday, May 3.
This is two related but separate events.
- Scavenger Hunt. The Scavenger Hunt registration starts at 9 am at Flying Tire Motorcycles at 100 E Loop 820 at Randol Mill, (in Fort Worth, TX for mapping purposes). You get the list and map at registration. The first 50 get goodie bags. Entry is $10 solo or $15 with passenger. (Women seem to love these hunts.) First one to find all the items and get to Rockin the Ranch wins the prize. Trophys for 2nd and 3rd.
- Rockin The Ranch. 11 am - afternoon. Bedford Boys Ranch on Forest Ridge at Harwood in Bedford. This is a bike show with band(s), lunch available, and probably other activities. Bike show registration is from 11-2. I went two years ago and it was a lot of fun and had some really good BBQ. They had categories for Harley, Metric, Custom and maybe one or two others. A fairly stock Yamaha/Star Stratoliner won the Metric category, so you need to shine your bike up and get in the game. Can't remember what the entry fee was last time, but it was probably market rate of $10 - $15.
- This just in for the Rockin the Ranch - Vendors, Music, Food, Washer Pitch contest, Bake Sale, Bounce House for the kids, face painting, puppet show. Bike show awards at 4.
We're going to catch the Rockin the Ranch fun, but won't be able to make the Scavenger Ride because of church conflict and I heard from someone else who is going to make the Scavenger Ride but won't be able to stay for the Bike Show. Choose one, both or whatever. I'm going to get some food, check out the music and bikes and let the kids play.
These events benefit a couple of charities supported by the Third Tradition club, including Ride For Kids, so please spread the word and come by for lunch and check out the bikes even if you can't participate in the other events.
