I was coming into this thread all fired up to defend the practice of wearing a baseball cap backwards (I usually do, it's just more comfortable that way.), but then I saw the picture... Okay, yeah... that's funny! Even I've been known to turn my hat around "backwards" and put the bill in the front when I need to block the sun!

You can wear one frontways like a pitcher or backwards like a catcher. It's wearing one sideways that pisses me off!

Yup, saw a bumper sticker once I thought I might try to find for my own car. It had a picture of a duck and a guy with his hat on backwards. Over the duck it said "duck." Over the kid with the hat on backwards it said "dork." Next to that sticker was one showing a kid with his hat sideways and pants below his butt crack. That one was labeled with Richard's nickname. Found them rather appropriate, if you don't want a bill in front then cut it off completely. You won't look any more ridiculous than wearing it with the bill in back.
Just an old man speaking his mind so don't get'em in a wad. I'm with da Prez on this, wear a hat if I wear anything at all.

I occasionally turn my hat backwards but it's usually because it's in my way, like when I'm working in a wheel-well.
The flat-bill baseball cap worn in any direction is the calling card of the American douchebag.

I wear one every time I need a nap in the daytime, I hit the recliner and pull the bib down over my eyes and snooze on. Otherwise I usually wear a ventilated straw hat when working in the sun. I agree the ones that think they are making a fashion statement by wearing them cockeyed are just plain stupid just like the ones that like to wear their pants at half mast. Most are like lemmings following someone else to show their individuality. Sort of like the approved hard core bad biker uniform thats so popular with a certain element.

Visit Orlando. Once you see a couple of guys with full-face tattoos and bolts coming out of their heads, you won't notice a backwards baseball cap. Those guys may be holding hands.
Yeah, saw that down near Int'l. Drive. I did a double take and the dude flipped me off when he crossed the street in front of me. Told him "nice, the IQ goes with the outfit" then drove on.

An old man is sitting on a bench in a park when a teenager with a rainbow hair-dyed mohawk spiked up like a punk rocker and a nose ring sits down next to him. The man begins to stare at him for a long time in shock. Then the teenager says, "What you looking at old man?" The man replys, "Nothing, nothing." Again the man begins to stare at him for a long time and the teen says, "What's your problem, old man, you never did anything crazy when you were a kid?" The old man replies, "Yeah, the thing is when I was a teen I got real, real drunk and slept with a parrot, and I'm trying to figure out if you are my son."

My dad used to say "you got 2 choices- turn you hat to the front, or I'll turn your neck to the back". Never thought he was joking either!

Whoa down folkes. They wear the cap backwards for 2 reasons.
1. To keep the sun off of their neck. OR 2. They are getting ready to go get some wind and the reverse cap won't blow off as easy.
Simple reply, right? LOL.
Ya'll have a nice day now, ya hear?
