I want to remove & replace the rear shocks on a '00 Standard. I realize it would be easier to do with a motorcycle lift, but has anyone done this using a floor jack?
If so, where is the jack placed to raise the motorcycle? I have a helper to steady the motorcycle while on the jack. Raising 2-3" should be enough?
Thanks,
the hobo

When I take my shocks off I raise the bike until the weight on the shocks is "neutral"... the
tire is still on the ground but the shock is neither under compression nor tension.

I did mine one at a time... and had a helper lift on the back of the bie to realign it.

It took a while and got me frustrated.
