Ragnar Cut Pro's and Con's

I have a 98 Tourer that I am considering doing the Ragnar Cut on the exhaust. I want to make sure before I do it that it is the sound I am looking for, I've heard only 2 videos on Youtube with the cut and it is really not a good way to make the decision.
I have a Unique Cycle Sounds audio system on my Valk and currently I can hear the speakers clearly running at 85 mph. I ride with Harleys (strange I live 50 miles from where the Valk was made and only seen 3 of them in 2 years) with audio systems and they tell me they have trouble hearing theirs running at 55 mph. I was hoping someone on here has an audio system on their motorcycle that has done the cut and could give me some pro's and con's.
As for the Youtube videos of the Ragnar cut I did like the sound of the exhaust, I've heard a lot of videos of the Cobra and TBR exhaust and to me they seem too loud. Any help making the decisions will be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't do it to a set of unmolested pipes, but it's your choice. I guess you could always go to the glaspak mod if you decide to butcher them and you're not happy.

Dave I ride a 97 Std that I cut the piggies off and drilled the first baffle then took it to an muffler shop and had 5" stainless steel exstensions added, they are swedged up from 4" and slip over where the factory tips came off. We just tack welded them in two spots on the inside because the clamp is a little big. It sounds GREAT and those 5" pipes add to that fat lady look. ( I have a buddy who has a turbo Carrera he says it sounds about the same), He rides a Road King and says he can hear it when I pass. As for being to loud my wife and I can still talk I cant say as to the stereo as I listen to the music of the road. Its a cool look and not to costly( $150.00 at muffler shop) and if its not what your after you can go on w/ your mod from there

I rode behind a Ragner cut on a club run in California many many moons ago.
The drone from that set of pipes, and I was at least 3 to 5 car lengths back just about drove me nuckin futs.
I also rode behind Scott from OK in Arizona when he had his 6X6 Cobras. It was much easier behind Scott that the other bike.
If it was me, which I know it isn't, I'd go with a set of MarkT's pipes with the crossover. I added the crossover to my Viking pipes and by butt dyno, it woke the ole boy up some, plus the tone I got is sweet sounding when following MGM.
JMHO, and I know, everyone has one. Cheers.

i would buy a set already cut and punched.
it's MUCH cheaper to buy chopped up ones than stock unmolested.
then you could go back if you want to and sell the chopped up ones to someone else that wants to
try it. or sell the stock if you like the sound.
just my opinion.
