"The mountains are calling and I must go."

« on: October 01, 2011, 02:39:34 PM »

Bought my Valk about 2 months ago with the intentions of turning a fast buck. The deal was just too good to pass up. After riding her for a couple of months and getting the cobwebs cleared off her, I think I'm in love. Took her out today and the weather was perfect. Had a great 150 mile ride and done some thinking. She's just to sweet to give up. Now all I gotta do is penny pinch until I recoup the money I spent on her.  :'(  Then I'm gonna add some stuff and change some stuff.  Smiley

I've got a set in my attic. I'll pull them out tomorrow and polish them up and see how they look. I also have a set of glasspacked factory pipes if yuo're interested.

Now that you've asked I just had to go see. They're @##$%% Brothers Racing. They used some stupid ass font that's hard as hell to read so I can't make out the first word. can't really get a straight look at it either. They sound like a Ferrari. Not a bad sound at all but the drone wants to put me to sleep.

The shocks work just fine so I think I'll keep them. (Holy Moly, they're mucho expensive progressive shocks  Shocked )

I don't recognize the seat. Have you been on any long ride and how was it?

They look like 2 Brothers 6 into 2 Racing pipes.

They definitely are not Viking pipes.   Viking is what i have on mine.

There was a Valkyrie for sale at the Fall Color Ride last year with those pipes, there's a crossover
I think.

It's a recovered OEM seat. Has a little more padding in it. Rides good.

Since you're gon'a keep her--I'd suggest that you take off those Leather Lyke Bags now and reinforce the area around the support holes!!  Several owners have problems with the bags in that  area!! Just a few days ago a picture of a real good looking repair/reinforce job was posted on this site.

I believe the draw on that exhaust is that it's aluminum and much lighter than OEM.

I didn't expect you to bit on that one and I'd have to toss you back in if you did.  Wink
