I had one installed at Americade earlier this year, don't remember the name of the young man who did the installation, but he had the patience to install the new windshield along with the stainless steel flames that absolutely have to be there. He took a lot of time and care; when I mounted the flames on my original windshield, I scratched the he11 out of it. I've had two Honda OEM shields, and a larger, thicker one I use in the winter because it keeps my hands warmer. Rode out to Springfield & back today, 180+ miles, drizzle on the way out & rain on the way home, and I could not be more happy with the clarity of this windshield at night in the rain. I've followed the "any cleaner/paper towel" regimen, cleaning it daily, and it is as pristine as the day I bought it. Please consider this product, it's really good, and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Karen,

That guy's name is Dave. I also can attest to the quality of their product.  I meet you as I was leaving after Dave installed the shield on my Tourer..As with most Americades the new shield was given it's water test more than a few times that week..and passed with flying colors.

I put a wider/taller one on my IS.  IT is a GREAT product!  He will make it YOUR size.

What is this regimen?  Hopefully not what it sounds like.... using any cleaner and paper towels  Shocked

I installed mine recently and thought that the headlight cutout could be more round. It may have been round before the curve was formed but it doesn't arc around the headlight bucket as neatly as the OEM. Otherwise I'm pleased. Love the clarity. Haven't been caught in the rain yet. The bolt cutouts did fit the OEM hardware without any modifications. I'm pleased as well.

MP, I use Windex and /or a "green" cleaner with paper towels; used to use a soft towel on my old windshields, but Dave said that you can pick up grit in a reused towel which will scratch the windshield. So far, so good. Kevin, glad you've also had good results. I'm ashamed to say that this was my first rainy ride of any length on the Valk since Americade, and I was really delighted with the clarity, remembering past rides after dark in the rain.
