I am supposed to leave out for western North Carolina on Wednesday for 5 days (about 2,000 miles total).

Went back and forth about changing out the rear tire before leaving (Avon Cobra with about 10K). Decided better do it (tire overnighted - install it Tuesday).

Took the wheel off today in preparation and found the pinion cup and driveshaft orange with rust and splines in both shot. Can't understand it, did o-ring change out and lube of everything - Belray waterproof on the shaft and pinion. I think the seal - didn't. Rode through a huge two-hour rain storm in August, much water.

Anyway, anyone have a new driveshaft laying around that they are willing to sell me and overnight ship tomorrow (Monday)? Obviously I will pay for the overnight. I have a spare final drive to use, so I will deal with the pinion cup over the winter.
