Oh my. . . .  After 50 years of drinking the Honolulu Blue & Silver Kool-Aid, maybe the Detroit Lions are for REAL this year! The Bears on Monday Night Football are next! I love seeing the Old Black & Blue Division coming back to life! GO LIONS!

Couple years ago the Tennessee Titans was 10 and 0 then the Jets beat'em ...It's been pretty much down hill from there even firing Fisher and getting a new coach.

DETROIT !! the city of champions!

Yeah you might wanna pump the brakes just a little.  Wink

It's always fun to see Dallas lose and in such spectacular fashion. How is it that Jerry Jones is the only person in America who doesn't know that Tony Romo sucks?

And it's always fun to see Ben Roethlisberger in pain. It was a good day of football, even if I was working.

I'm really happy for Lion fans everywhere. Detroit football has sucked forever...almost.  BUT, the Cowboys were kicking thier butts till Romo gave them 14 points, and the coach decided to not take 3 points and went for it on the 2 yard line. Fail. Thats 17 points the Cowboys gave the Lions. Good job on the Lions part of playing hard the whole game, but the Cowboys aka Romo gave the game away.

Gave the Lions? I didn't see 17 points just jump on the board. Defense works just as hard as offense and nobody gives you points in the NFL. GO Lions!

That's right. The only thing that matters is the final score. Stafford had a lousy day. Lions Defense rose to the occasion.. Lions win! Romo sucks crazy2. No whining in football!  cooldude

The Lions never gave up. They continued to play hard even 24 pts down. Romo may be on the Detroit payroll but that takes nothing away from the win. Congratulations to them.

A Cowboys fan.

Rumor has it the Detroit Lions awarded Tony Romo the game ball and named him their MVP of the game!

- Almost, but Not Quite ...

Bobby Carpenter is a good friend of Romo. Carpenter stood up in Romo's wedding. The interception may have been a gift to Carpenter from Romo for being a groomsman.  angel
Thanks, Tony! 2funny

From S.I.:

"He (Romo) was on a roll of completing 13 of 14 passes, the only incompletion a clock-stopping spike, when his good buddy Bobby Carpenter made a leaping interception and a weaving 35-yard return for a touchdown. The Lions were still down 27-10, so it seemed harmless - except that it gave Detroit's players hope. Cornerback Chris Houston provided more when he returned an interception 56 yards for a touchdown on the next series.
"The key play of the game was Bobby Carpenter ," Lions coach Jim Schwartz said. "We had no juice before that. It wasn't the game-winner, it didn't turn the tide completely, but it did give us the spark and got things going a little bit
."

Hey man, good luck to em. I think seeing Detroit win a SB would be great for the game and talk about a city that could use some good cheer.

Though I am a life time Bears fan I do have to congratulate the Mich/Detroit folks.  They are finally getting some relief and it’s about time.  Good to see you folks have a good long term quarterback.  Though with Green Bay and the Bears in that Division it won’t be easy but it will be more competitive than it has been in years.  Remember that last year the Bears won the Division but Green Bay won the Super Bowl.

First of all, I'm a lifelong Bears fan. So it pains me to say, the Lions are doing great!  I wish them all the best, God knows they have had to deal with mediocre NFL football for what seems like forever!  I do enjoy watching the Cowboys lose though, and this was in classic fashion.  Go LIONS!  It'll be a great game on Monday Night!

You might see him sell it on e-bay... did you see how Romo snubbed the CowBoys owner after
the game was over... he must not know which side his bread is buttered on. Thats not how
you do the man that signs your paycheck.

The reason why Detroit won ....
They learned how to spell "T-E-A-M" without an "I" and the coaches, trainers, & players are synchronized in the attack. They beat DALLAS at their weakness they out smarted them.
