I was tempted only because of a broke bolt hole on 1 of my carbs. I have it running fine but considered it for that. Normally you can rebuild yours, but 6 spares so she isn't stuck sitting is a thought. He only has 4 though. |

The tank seller called me but I missed it. He returned my email and asked me to call him back. "I have the tank - I was thinking about doing a deal with a guy in Florida but I would rather not ship it" was his reply. I really don't need the tank so does anyone here want it? I'll snag it and then I can ship it wherever you want.

love the 98 chrome rims(!?) I will jump on the speedo to fit my 1800 Valkyrie the carbs are intersting, I would take them but my # 1 thru 4 are good, I need 5 and 6  |

When I replaced the speedo/odo on my wife's bike, we had to have a notorized statement, as to mileage, and when I got the speedo, that was the mileage on it.
Had I left it in the box, it would have been a brand new in box, speedo, with about 1800 miles on it.
But, then, it's a lot easier to accuse than to accept...

I bought the tank. It's structurally perfect but it's got a couple of good gouges in the paint on the top. Too bad too because the rest of the paint is in great shape. But it's a great tank for a custom paint project.

You're probably right, but as just laying her down on pavement only and no other vehicles, objects, seems it would be hard to do. |
