I've never thought Americans were lazy.

Most people I know will work themself to death to get out of work.

Selling it should be great: "Hey; pal. I've got a bridge for sale. No, not THAT one. Ya interested?"

Lazy? I am a firm believer in the old saying - never put off something to tomorrow, that you can avoid doing all-together.

That was on the local news (of course) and it was stated that as best they can tell, it has been missing for  maybe the last 7 - 10 days.    Scrap metal is big theft here.... people with copper gutters and downspouts have come home to find them gone, power lines have been cut and taken, pipes missing from empty houses.  Ya think times are tough..... I think there was even on guy that died due to elec shock trying to get copper wire.    uglystupid2

Copper theft has been a problem for years, especially in Detroit.

i was replacing a nurse call system in a local hospital and pulled out two 55 gallon barrels of 14 awg solid coper wire!!  made myself an extra $150!!  i asked the maintenance guys if they wanted it, and they didn't!!

now, trying to recycle a bridge!!  that would be a bit harder!!

Our thieves here ain't real smart. crazy2 They take the copper gas line from the propane tank at the real out of the way churchs around here-without turning off the tank valve. uglystupid2 Gotten to the point the farmers and ranchers here have really got to secure any equipment left out. Other wise it finds a new home-rapidly. RIDE SAFE.

News reported more on the bridge and that there was a Craigslist ad for steel or maybe even the whole bridge... who knows.  But I did a search and came up with this ad....  http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mat/2582821866.html    The news did report that the number associated with the ad they reported on was no good... unfortunately for the police LOL.

Here is another CL ad as well... more than likely a joke    http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/for/2637086692.html

cooldude That CL ad is funny! Shows a pic with no bridge there. I wonder whose mother-in-law/ex-wife/boss has their number posted in the ad.
