It is attached to a new 2011 black electra glide classic,,
Its been a great run here, i guess i have been around here since 2000 or so, out of 3 valks because of this site I made lots of mods and did all the maintenance myself.
I tried to sell it here a month ago and didnt even get a bite on it so it went to the harley dealer for 5500 dollars, they got a great deal on my interstate,,,
I will still be around reading and stuff because i feel i have a family here and if you guys get down to nashville area give me a shout and i will show you some nice roads around here,,,
well its warming up outside so time to hit the road and see if i can get over that 500 mile break in period,,pics to follow

a/k/a Stuffy. '99 I/S Valk Roadsmith Trike

I stopped by the local HD dealer yesterday to pick up some driving light trim rings. After taking care of business I strolled through the showroom, they had the 2012's in and what a collection. Sure isn't the same bike I rode back in the early 50's. I've never been able to decipher all the various letters attached to the different models, but a couple caught my eye. One is similar to the I/S with the double headlight fairing and only had the hard bags...no trunk, and solid black. The other one I liked was a beautiful sparkly blue, fairing and hard bags. Both had most of the bells and whistles available. A younger sales rep came over and started to really talk up the product line, going on and on about the bikes and the history. I just stood and listened, smiling to myself until a fellow closer to my age walked up and simply asked how long I've been riding. I told him if I included all the homebuilt two-wheeled contraptions...a little over 60 yrs.  The kid just turned around and walked away without a word, I stood and chatted with the older man for about 15 minutes, never once talked motorcycles. As I was leaving, I told him they're beautiful rides but too much money for me at this point in my life. I would kinda like to go back to my roots, so to speak, back to where it all started for me as a teenager. You know how it was....back when we had all the answers, didn't even know what the questions were yet.

Having a Harley does not excuse you from being a VRCC member.

I have a Harley, FLHT>

A Interstate.

And love them both.

Times are hard is why you did not get a bite from the board.

Hang around, I believe you will once again get the bug, and own the Best Cruiser of the Millenium.

Of course you already know that.

But it won't be long, after you constantly row that 6 speed till your blue in the face in the Tennessee Mountains, that you will realize, maybe that

Valk might still be for sale at that dealer where you left it.

Or maybe not.

You may never look back, but I would not bet on it.

Ride Proud what ever you ride is my motto.

Did you say you'd let it go for $5500?  I wouldn't have wanted to insult you by offering you that, but once you found out what Harley would give you, I'm sure some one would have matched it and kept it in the family (so to speak).  I didn't realize you were selling.

For that amount of money you could " almost " got a new Wing ...What dealer did you give the Interstate too ?  I'd like to give them a call and see what they want for it.

Congrats on the new bike.  I went from an Interstate to an Electra Glide Classic, then to an Ultra.
I have enjoyed all my bikes.

It's not what you ride but that you ride.
