Wondering how big, how busy it gets? I'm selling my trike. With stops, it's a little over 4 hours each way. If it's really busy was thinking it might be good to park the trike over there with a for sale sign, while I check things out. Would probably be during the week.

It has been down a bit in the last couple years...which is GOOD! It got a little too busy for awhile, I guess the economy has people trying to saving some $$$.

I haven't even thought about it in a while. Once upon a time I liked Biketoberfest better because the traffic was lighter so the lines at the test rides was less. Seems like a place to sell a bike. If nothing else you'll get a four ride out of it. Enjoy.

what RJ said As a local to that area, I won't go near the place, with the exception of going to J&P Cycles and the Speedway. Going on into town is just nuts. Mostly Harleys and those that service them. Friendly crowd but a lot of drinking and riding. The local news keeps a running tally of how many get killed each year. It is definitely NOT Bike Week but still too much for me. Just one guys opinion.

Went years ago and never got the urge to go again. Great money maker for the local folks but nothing for me.

Being from MI, I'd have to say biketoberfest is fun because the weather in FLA is a bit more predictable. Biktoberfest is not as large as Bike Week, but the seafood is just as tasty and the bars are not as crowded.

For me and don't waist time shooting me down.....Bike whatever in Daytona is like Times Square on New Years eve....Once is fine and great memories to hold. If your Valk is sinking (mine was) in the hot tar and about to fall over in Daytona, not a rookie Harley long fingered puss or "tough" lol.... Harley rider seemed not to care my Valk was almost at a 45 degs. I watched and saw the HD folks laugh. My wife and I went to a HD dealership with a HD buddy of mine in Kissimmee FL. at !-92 and Vine ST. He needed to buy something for his gas advance that broke near the carberator. There was a sign in the store that said, "Your Not A Real Woman If You Don't Ride On A HD " My very soft spoken latin wife of 41 yrs. came unglued and ripped the owner a second as# hole. I would love to have a Herritage with electronic cruise control (possible) for my Valk to talk to, but the HD attitude thing is discusting. HOWEVER, I was riding with a GW guy and we got seperated ast a turn. I sat on the side of the road waiting for him and a HD rider stopped and asked me if everything was OK...

A friend and I rode up to Daytona Saturday. First stop was the Cabbage Patch to check out the Cole-Slaw wresting preparation. We parked right in front with no problem (but it was 10:00 AM). we walked around a bit and noticed fewer vendors present. The next stop was the Daytona Speedway to check out the new bikes. There were no major brand (Yamaha, Honda, etc) motorcycle vendors present We saw a Roadstar 18-wheeler parked in the distance but didn't bother walking that far. There were numerous custom bike companies present though. We saw some REALLY nice customs with V-8's on board in the $45k - $50k range. Some had self proclaimed 600-hp and were very well thought out with amazing paint schemes. In my opinion...much nicer that the Boss-Hoss offerings and in a much smaller package. Another thing...LED's seem to be a big deal now, mostl vendors offered them. Next stop....Beach Street. Not many vendors present and the traffic was light, well, around noon anyway. The cheap beer/hotdog joint adjacent to Daytona Harley-Davidson was not open for business . We didn't do Main Street....been there and done that too many times. We were headed back home by 2:00 PM and met many bikes going the other way. One thing we did notice were cops everywhere. There must have been at least twenty congregating around the Cabbage Patch intersection. All in all I was totally underwhelmed with this years Biketoberfest....YAWN....
