All I can add is it doesn't look OEM. Where did you find it, remove it from, etc.?

I got it in a box of parts, from a man who sold his Valkyrie, I have looked at mine, and I cannot tell where it might go. I am not good at seeing geometries. There it is. and thanks in advance for all your replies.

Maybe a cover for the left side, around the petcock? They could have used one of the holes to re-route the seat release.

Well, I have bought parts in a box before and there were always parts for something else thrown in. Maybe that is what you got, this part for some other application.

Looks like something to cover the area in front of the ignition.

What is it made of? ABS plastic, black, then maybe off the bike. Another colour, or metel, it's not from an IS, I've wrecked mine, and don't recall seeing that.
However, my first thought was also the front cover, that the seat release is, not that it is stock, but with that little bent lip, I think that is from that area of the bike.

Well, It is made of metal, about 5-6 inches across. It may be from another bike, thanks for the response.
