I'd guess $4500. People just not gonna pay much for a "high mileage" bike....even if it is a Valk and 125k is not even half-life  Angry

Gotta find a buyer who knows the bike. Same goes for a Goldwing. The clueless masses are much of a market for a "high mileage bike.

I bought mine for $3500 in July with 60k on the clock but it was an exceptional deal. Don't think I'll ever run across another like it.

They're out there. Just gotta be patient and in the right place at the right time. I recently was in the market for a flats boat and would check Craigs List, Boat Trader, Ebay and local classifieds a couple times a day....finally found my DEAL!  cooldude

The deals are out there for sure.  I picked up an '01 Standard with custom paint, custom rims, beetle bags, windshield, tons of chrome, 23K miles for $4995.  Keep looking for them - mine was on Cycle Trader.

Do a little Horse Tradin and you may be surprised what you get out of it if someone really wants it.

Pictures.

Set it out in front of the house on a sunny day all cleaned up.

Oh and yeah gt a speedometer that reads about 38,000 and you get what you want out it and give the new owner a sense of pride

with his low mileage ride.

He won't know the difference and we all know it is still in good shape.

Will be rollin with 300,000 on it.

No harm really done.

this IS NOT a good idea   the title tells the TRUE miles

Actually the mileage on the tourer after thinking about it is only 25,000 miles right now.

If it was an Interstate it would show 125,000.

Nice you already have the low mileage speedo.

i think ur missing the point that the title tells the true miles not the odometer and if it dont the Motor Veh  will give u a box B or C ttile  rather then the Box A title

In August I gave $4800 for a '98 Standard with 31k miles on it, with ~$2.5-3k worth of addons.

In WI the DMV doesn't record mileage once the cycle is 10 years old. I registered my 2000 IS last summer and they set the mileage at the same amount the cycle had the first time it was registered: 10 miles. Guess I've done a hell of a lot of riding to have almost 50,000 16 months later!

I got my '98 Tourer with 23k for $5,200.

The mileage was also stated on the title when the previous owner had purchased it so I knew it hadn't gone over 100K. Plus I called the dealership that the guy had always taken it to to further verify it.  Mine has a little maintenance needed but for the price I was happy.

The mi. in Minnesota is only recorded at the time of a sale. So if you ran it around while you owned it no one would know.

Was thinking the same thing. Sad that anyone would imply that this is okay because the bikes last a long time or that it's okay for any reason.  Lips Sealed

I didn't say it was o.k. All i was saying is the d.m.v. would have no recording of the mi. in this instance.  angel

My title says 6100 miles.  That is what It had when I bought it from the origional owner when It was a year old.  In about six months the speedo will say 6200.  It says 93000 now.  It is not for sale, at least not yet.  Wink  Grin  I'm Kidding, it's mine till I die, and I'm taking it with me!  Shocked  Hoser

When Valks are concerned I'd rather have a Valk with 125K on it in good shape than a dusty one with 15k on it. One may be dry rotting from being ignored. Ride 'em!

It will most likely have an exempt title due to age, but I still think that swapping the ODO is a douche move.

Undecided Shocked cooldude
Watch the market... prices are dropping.
My pristine 2000 Std w/36.5K miles was posted on CL for $5200.
With cash on hand, the purchase price came down to $4500 in about 3 minutes flat!
Shocked
Your ability to travel would greatly enhance your chances of a good deal.
I found an identical model w/29k miles for $6000 locally. It sold for $5800.
So, I traveled 270 miles to p/u this one and saved myself $1300...
Rode it back home with a frozen smile...

Ship it over here - would be worth £4000 - or about $6500.

Must be a business importing these things from the US to Europe.

Over here they are rare but sought after...

I paid $7000 for my 1997 with 20,000 on it and that's 'normal'.

Over here a new wing is £23,000 - I guess that must be about $35,000.... Robbery! uglystupid2

Point is someone could cheat if the odo turned over and went above his title mileage.  I would not recommend it, but it could happen, especially if it was pristine.  Hoser

I rekon BigAl just lost any buyers here for EVER!!!
There was a car dealer in town when I was a kid. He ripped off almost everybody he sold to.
Everything from rolling milage back, sawdust in the rear end, 90wt in the motor so it wouldnt smoke.
One day on my way to school I noticed all the windows in every car and the shack were broken.
The lot sat for three years with no motion. It was a great place to play.
