I'm leaning towards fake... The angle of the barrel at the time of firing it really looks like it wouldn't have just put a hole in his hat when it fired... Also, if ya' watch the buttstock closely during the firing, it seems to jump around a bit just before firing, usually a sign of someone doing some digital editing... At least, for the sake of humanity's future, I really hope it's fake!  |

obviously an inexpierenced rifleman!! several questions, why is he video taping himself? why's he only 15' away from his target? why hasn't he taken any rifle safety classes first!!?
i watched the video several times, hard to tell if it's fake or not, scary either way!!

It's fake. His last two action cycles ejected no round - the gun was empty. If anything, the hat's being pulled up by a string attached to a tree branch.

He didn't sell the reaction. For one thing I believe that to a virtual 100% certainty you'd just drop the gun and probably poop yourself. And unless you were actually hit the first thing you'd grab would be your ears to keep your brains from leaking onto the ground.

I'm assuming he posted the original video in the first place. Most people would just be too embarrassed to offer themselves as an example of a mistake. |
