I have a soft spot for z-cars: 1978 Datsun 280z. Near-showroom condition when I sold it. I liked the car, but keeping the body in decent shape in the middle of the "Rust Belt" was too expensive. Fun car to drive, though. This was the only car I ever had where someone left a note on it saying how cool it was. Cannot recall what year I owned it, maybe 1990? Might have had it for a year or so.

Z's definately have a "cool factor" about them. Especially the older 240, 260, and 280s. Nowadays I'd take a 240z with an RB26DETT engine swap over any muscle car you could offer me

Not quite a Z car, but can I play? (Pardon the PVC, these are the most recent pics I've got, and I took them to prove to a co-worker than I didn't need a pickup truck afterall...)

Rx's and Z's both are cool rides that I am sure both of you will enjoy. Have fun , but be careful Brian's brothers in Blue will be looking for you both! LOL!!

Chris is right, that 280 was a FUN car except for the rusting. I drove it a few but I have to say that my '99 Miata doesn't rust and it's a vastly underrated sportscar with a following that is just like Valk owners. Miata owners also do their own work. I had a blast following 98T and Mad6gun through the Snake, the Miata is light and handles tight! I'm going to do a few things to it like Intake and exhaust mods.
