No ammo shortage here but I know several people who are stocking up.

I was just in Cabelas the other day. Plenty of ammo in just about every caliber at reasonable prices. The only thing they didn't have was a specialty self defense load here and there.

So lemme get this straight, this website wants me to pay it to send faxes to elected officials on my behalf? This all sounds kind of fishy.

ammo went through a percieved shortage at the begining of the Obama term.  people were just caving in to panic buying.  he won't get around to grabbing our guns until his second term  2funny crazy2 tickedoff uglystupid2

Alan G.s a one trick pony-"Send money!"  As mentioned, right after the election some calibers were hard to get, especially .380 but part of that was hoarders compounding the slight rise in sales. Kind of like the 70's gas shortage. When every car in the country goes from running around on half a tank to being topped off every 20 minutes out of fear, there's a heck of a one-time jump in consumption. I'm guilty myself, grabbed some extra powder, primers and bullets for my .45ACP and .233 just in case. Not going to mess around with reloading .380 so I bought a few bricks of some Yugslavian ball stuff "just in case". Not going to run it through the LCP but it's good enough for the Bersa.

Speaking of the Obama anti-gun crowd, the word from my sources, which are usually pretty reliable, concerns Fast and Furious.  The word is that Obama and Holder were purposely allowing those guns to go south.  The reason was to bolster the claims by the anti-gunners that all these guns in Mexico were coming from the US due to our "lax" gun laws!   They were lax alright.  The ATF were letting them go.  The reasons listed was that they were going to follow the guns and arrest the perps. Now any reasonable ATF agent  would not do this on their own without authorization from main Justice.  To think you can follow 2000 guns into Mexico and Not tell the mexican govt. what you are doing is pure folly!  Unfortunately, it took the death of an outstanding BP Agent by one of those weapons  to get this into the light of day. They all should go to jail, starting with Holder!  IMHO   Linedog
