I heard on the news a few days ago the Chicago mercantile is trying to relocate, Gov. Rick Scott from FLA is all over'em. probably dining and wooing them as we speak. The relocation to FL would bring approx 2,000 jobs to the state.

why would they leave? their taxes are going up $50,000,000. remember last Christmas the IL congress voted in a big honkin' tax increase, they would just be the latest jobs to flee the state there have already been 890,000 jobs lost since mid September. it pains me to see this in a state I used to live in, my sis and her family still live there in Champaign. I truely feel sorry for those tied to the land like the farmers who are only 2% of the population and just have to grin and bear it.

yup higher taxes work, the opposite of what you want tho  uglystupid2

I left Illinois for good back in 1978. 2funny I miss some of the people there but not the taxes or the WINTERS.  tickedoff Had i still lived there when i retired 2 yrs and 8 months ago i would have had to move to this area of Missouri or into Arkansas. Grin Besides i have ridden every month since i bought the fat girl in june of 10. I would not have been able to do that where i'm from in Illinois-almost to Wisconsin. uglystupid2 RIDE SAFE.

it was the anti gun shenanigans that drove me out of the state. I was on my own property with a shotgun trying to get a groundhog that was eating our garden when a state trooper Sargent drove by. he whipped a u turn jumped out identified himself and wanted to know what I was doing with the shotgun so close to the road?

I said explained the situation and said wouldn't you rather I shot towards the field than be on the other side shooting towards the road?

I guess he didn't find any fault with my logic cause he left.

i dated a woman that use to run the tile store in that building.  use to meet her for lunch, we'd eat out on the fire escape.  she had Walter Payton as a customer once.

that's a huge building, tons and tons of shops!
